Attorney General Jason Miyares speaks to full house about President Reagan’s legacy.
Culpeper, VA, March 23, 2024 —On Saturday, March 23, 133 patriotic attendees gathered at Tuscany Hall to celebrate the legacy of Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States. Virginia’s Attorney General, Jason Miyares, was the evening’s featured speaker. “I was honored to share how Ronald Reagan’s tenure and legacy positively impacted my life and that of my mother,” he commented. “Reagan’s ideals will forever remain a beacon of inspiration.”
Legislative leaders from the area came out in force to support the Culpeper County Republican Committee. Delegates Nick Freitas and Michael Webert, a representative of Senator Bryce Reeves’ office, and Supervisor Tom Underwood were all in attendance along with Town Council member Joe Short who also served as the event’s Master of Ceremonies. Committee Chairman Larry Green introduced the committee’s leadership and talked about goals for the future. He also expressed gratitude for the event committee’s hard work in creating a successful celebration so quickly after the CCRC’s change in leadership. “Working together is the key to our success and how we will get good conservatives elected in 2024,” he noted.
“We have some great candidates ready to serve in the 7th District and in the senate and we will work hard to get them into office,” Mr. Green continued.
Jewel Duvall and her late husband Dale were honored with a scholarship named for them in gratitude for their inspiration in establishing the Reagan Legacy Dinner. The Jewel and Dale Duvall scholarship will be awarded annually. Also honored for their service were all veterans and past and present law enforcement officers. The gathering was jovial and celebratory with many cheers and waving of flags.
