Culpeper Star-Exponent CCRC-submitted Article December 2024
The citizens of Culpeper showed their true colors in the November 5,
election with Donald Trump winning in a county landslide. “I want to thank all of our supporters and
volunteers for their immense work and dedication,” said Chairman Larry Green. “It’s apparent that voters
related to Trump’s platform for the future of America.”
“Although the results for the county are still considered “unofficial,” there is no question that the goals of the
voters are clear—they want change,” added Mr. Green. “I think the people of our community embrace the
Republican values of a strong military, fiscal responsibility, equal rights and liberties, and a free enterprise
system. They have spoken loud and clear.” Chairman Green noted that the committees presence in the county
was intentionally outward facing. “It’s all about relationships and trust. We are neighbors and everyone
deserves to be heard and included—its what Culpeper has always been about.”
Culpeper County voters also supported Senate candidate Hung Cao with 60.39% and 7 th District Congressional
candidate Derrick Anderson with 62.5% of their votes. “The red wave was powerful here in Culpeper,” added
Chairman Green, “there’s no looking back now. We need to just move forward.”
Culpeper County had a 73% voter turnout according to the Virginia Department of Elections.
